I hate HOAs

I just finished taking flyers off my door to please the HOA. They often send me complaining letters stating that it is not "aesthetically pleasing" to have flyers on my door, a rug drying over my gate, A flag hung up without a light on it, a plant on my wall, or a chime hanging over my door. I understand that they are not "pleased" with me. But on the other hand, I am not "pleased" by the ridiculous amount I pay them every month so that they can harass me about my own property. Perhaps I should send them a complaing letter.

My sister is concerned that by saying we need a better instruction book, people might misconstrue my comments to mean that I felt the Bible was not a good enough instruction book. So I just wanted to let you all know that were concerned, that I am not, in fact, in the process of apostasy or inactivity. I just thought the quote was hilariously funny. "Life is a test, it is only a test. If this life was real, we would have been given better instructions" or something like that.

Blood Test

I just had a routine blood test today. I always get lightheaded and sick when I have blood tests. This time, though, I told myself that I was not going to get sick. I even asked if I could lay down during the test, this I assured myself, would help. The nurse came and checked my veins. (I was told once that I have very nice, visible veins. I hope it wasn't a pick up line, if it is pick up lines are going down hill). She wrapped that rubber band thing around my arm which is there, I assume because it hurts so much that they hope you won't notice the pain of the stupid needle going in. Then she inserted the needle. Mind over matter, I told myself. And everything went great.

That is, if your definition of great is that I had to lay there for another 15 minutes sweating profusely while drinking a cup of cold water, until I stopped fainting and could go home. sigh.

My first blog

As usual, I am a little behind when it comes to trends. Here I am starting my first blog years after everyone else started! The first blog that I ever read was by my friend Joyce. She invented clever names to disguise people. I like that idea, so I think that is what I am going to do. My sister has requested that she be called the Rambler, so that is what I am going to call her. I will come up with the rest of the names myself. So don't worry, if I talk about you on this blog, your name will be changed to protect the innocent. Unless, of course, I get bored and quit naming people.
